last time planets lined up
Question about the planets and 2012?
I read somewhere that the planets were supposed to line up with the Sun or something in 2012, is this right?
Also, how long ago did this happen last?
Oh, yeah, and no way is this question connected to the fact the the world is supposed to end, because it isn’t.
Man, you people can’t read, why on earth are you going on about doomsday when I said this question has nothing to do with it? All I wanted to know was whether the planets will align or not!
A line-up of planets is something that the 2012 crackpots like to claim is happening, but they forget (or are too stupid to realise) that this can easily be checked up on. Can you see any alignment? I can’t. Then there is the minor detail that such alignments don’t mean a thing anyway. If all the planets were to align perfectly with each one as close as possible to the Earth, their gravity would raise the ocean tides by just one twenty-fifth of one millimeter.

There won’t be any polar shift or ‘once in 26,000 year’ alignment with the galaxy either. That’s just more inventions by the crackpots.
